ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim received on 29 August 2017 Deputy Minister of Transportation of Yemen Nasser Al Sherif at the UN House.

The two sides discussed cooperation in the field of transportation between ESCWA and Yemen and ESCWA’s contribution to the government of Yemen in terms of technical cooperation.

The ambassador of Yemen to Lebanon Abdullah Abed AlKarim AlDeis and ESCWA Regional Adviser on Transport and Logistics Yarob Badr also attended the meeting.

United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim received on Tuesday 05 September 2017 Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Arab Unity Studies (CAUS) Khair El-Din Haseeb and the Centre’s Director General Luna Abu Swaireh at the UN House in Beirut.

Following the meeting Abu Swaireh said discussions focused on partnership between ESCWA and the Centre in the fields of Economy, Development and Research.

United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim received on Wednesday 6 September 2017 Egypt’s Ambassador to Lebanon Nazih al-Najjari at the UN House in Beirut.

          Beirut, 22 September (Communication and Information Unit)—A crowd of ministers, high-level dignitaries and governmental and non-governmental experts will gather in Beirut next week to participate in the “High-Level Conference on Climate Impact Assessment and Adaptation in the Arab Region”, which ESCWA is co-organizing with 11 institutions under the auspices of Lebanese President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri, from 26 to 28 September at the Hilton Sin El Fil Hotel.
