United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim visited on 17 August 2017 the Director-General of the Internal Security Forces (ISF), Major-General Imad Osman. 

During his visit, the Executive Secretary was accompanied by ESCWA Deputy Executive Secretary for Program Support Khawla Mattar and ESCWA Chief Security and Safety Section Said Jannoun.
 
The two sides discussed cooperation between ESCWA and the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces.

          Beirut, 21 August 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim today visited former Prime Minister Najib Mikati in his Beirut office.

          Both sides discussed priority issues in the Arab region, namely the reconstruction of Syria and ESCWA activities in this regard.

          Hakim had visited on 18 August 2017 Minister of Economy and Trade, Raed Khoury, accompanied by ESCWA Chief of Modeling and Forecasting Section Mohamed Hedi Bchir.
 

          Beirut, 22 August 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim today headed to Cairo on his first official visit to member countries after he took functions at the helm of ESCWA last May.

United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim paid an official visit to Egypt on 22-24 August 2017 on top of a delegation comprising his Deputy for Program Support Khawla Mattar, ESCWA Secretary of the Commission Karim Khalil, Chief of Economic Governance and Planning Ahmed Kamaly and Team Assistant Zalfa Hobballah.
