تعقد لجنة الأمم المتحدة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لغربي آسيا (الإسكوا)، بالشراكة مع مجلس الأعمال العراقي، وبالتعاون مع وجامعة الدول العربية وبرنامج الخليج العربي للتنمية (الأجفند)، ورشة عمل بعنوان "بناء قدرات الشراكة في الحكم الديمقراطي"، وذلك من 23 ولغاية 25 كانون الثاني/يناير 2015 في فندق الـGrand Millennium، عمّان. وتفتتح أعمال الورشة بحضور سفير العراق في الأردن، السيد جواد هادي عباس.

التأمت لجنة النقل التابعة للإسكوا في دورتها الـ15 في الرباط، المملكة المغربية، من 27 كانون الثاني/يناير الجاري إلى 28 منه برعاية وزير التجهيز والنقل واللوجيستيك في المملكة المغربية السيد عزيز الرباح. وقد اختتمت الدورة أعمالها باعتماد مجموعة من التوصيات صدرت عن المشاركين من خبراء وممثلين عن الدول الأعضاء في مجموعة العمل المعنية بمواءمة الهياكل المؤسسية والتشريعات في قطاع النقل، وممثلين عن الاتحادات العربية الناشطة في مجال النقل ومنظمات إقليمية ودولية عدّة.

On 22 and 23 October 2014 ESCWA Centre for Women (ECW) organized an expert group meeting, to review the progress realized on the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, 20 years after its adoption in the Arab region. ECW Director Samira Atallah chaired the meeting, alongside Head of the Arab League's Department for Women, Family and Childhood Inas Mekawy and UN Women Deputy Regional Director for Arab States Mohammad Naciri. Attendees were representatives of public administrations and national women machineries in Arab countries, together with regional experts.

Under the theme "Arab Perspective for Shaping the Future of the Internet", and under the joint patronage of Lebanese Minister of Telecommunications Boutros Harb and ESCWA Executive Secretary Rima Khalaf the city of Beirut hosted on 26-27 November 2014 the Third Annual Meeting of the Arab Internet Governance Forum (AIGF-III) at the Movenpick Hotel. The Forum, which was held with the strategic partnership of the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications and Ogero Telecom, was preceded by a pre-event on 25 November 2014 for capacity building on Internet Governance.
