Under the title “Partnering for Knowledge”, Academia Lebanon organized on 19-20 November 2014 the 24th International Convention on Higher Education at UNESCO palace in Beirut. An exhibition was held for schools and universities, which caught the attention of hundreds of students. This forum is the first of its kind to deal with the exchange of thoughts and methods, and the formulation of new initiatives and projects so as to integrate the regional education market in an increasingly challenging global environment.
In addition to interested parties from the Gulf, Lebanon and Syria, ESCWA participated in this convention, whereas a number of studies on economic and social development were displayed.
Academia Lebanon stresses the importance of providing alternative opportunities especially in international education for the young generations, as well as opportunities of institutional development for the professional sector.
