Beirut, 15 August 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim visited today MP Walid Jumblatt at his Clemenceau residence.
 
          During his visit, the Executive Secretary was accompanied by ESCWA Deputy Executive Secretary for Program Support Khawla Mattar.
 
          The two sides discussed current affairs in the Arab region.
 

Beirut, 14 November 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim today visited former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora. Both sides discussed the ESCWA current and upcoming activities.
 
It was also an occasion for both sides to discuss the current situation in Lebanon and the region.
 
 

UNESCWA Executive Secretary Mervat Tallawy received Judge Serge Brammertz, the Commissioner of the United Nations International Independent Investigation Commission into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, in her office at the UN House, Beirut.
Tallawy also met with Mr. David Veness, Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security, the previous day.

Beirut, 13 November 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) – United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim today received Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Wang Kejian at the UN House in Beirut. Both officials discussed enhancing cooperation between ESCWA and China.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Executive Secretary for Program Support Khawla Mattar and Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary Mohanad Al-Musawi.
