Beirut, 24 November (Communication and Information Unit)--Three major meetings will be held next week in ESCWA headquarters in Riyad al-Solh square in Beirut:
 
Monday 27 November, at 9:00am: Lebanese Minister of State for Administrative Reform Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine will open the Regional Forum on “National Knowledge and Technology Development and Transfer Systems.”
 

Lebanese President Michel Aoun received on Wednesday 21 June 2017 United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim in a courtesy visit shortly after he assumed office on top of the Commission. President Aoun praised the work conducted by ESCWA for the sake of the Member States. For his part, the Executive Secretary voiced his gladness that Lebanon is hosting ESCWA and stressed that it is the only UN regional and international organisation headquartered in Lebanon.

The ESCWA Centre for Women (ECW), in partnership with the Human Rights Institute of the Beirut Bar Association, is organizing the next meeting of its Gender Discussion Series (GDS), to be held under the title: To what extent do the legal systems in Arab countries facilitate access to justice for women? The meeting is scheduled to take place on Friday 6 June 2014 at 2:00 PM, on the premises of the Beirut Bar Association located at “Beit Al-Mouhami” in Adlieh - Mathaf area.
