In addition to reducing gender equality to one goal, the target of goal 3 on promoting gender equality and empowering women, is limited to eliminating gender disparity in primary education, preferably by 2005, and all levels of education by 2015.

23 April 2019	Focus Group Meeting in Tunisia on the Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in rural areas of the Arab Region	Within the framework of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small – Scale Renewable Energy Applications in rural areas of the Arab region (REGEND)”, the finalization of the selection of the local community and the Local Facilitating Team in Tunisia necessitates a focus group meeting. The objective of the meeting is to assess and finalize the selection of the local community where the project activities will be undertaken as well establishment of the Local Facilitation Team (LFT) in Tunisia and selection of its members.
10 June 2021	Capacity-Building Workshop on “Projects Design, Drafting Proposals, Feasibility Studies, and Managing Projects in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus”	Within the framework of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND)” Project, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in partnership with the Municipalities of Akkar Al-Atika and Chaqdouf, is organizing a capacity-building workshop on “Projects Design, Drafting Proposals, Feasibility Studies, and Managing Projects in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus”. This workshop will build the capacities of members of the municipalities of Akkar Al-Atika and Chaqdouf in the fields of projects design, drafting projects’ proposals, feasibility studies, and managing projects in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus.
