5 December 2014	Technical Committee, 8th meeting	The secretariat of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is organizing the Eighth meeting of the Technical Committee during the period 10-12 December 2013. The Technical Committee will begin its meeting with an opening session at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 10 December 2013. The Committee will start its working sessions at 10.15 a.m. with one session in the morning and two sessions in the afternoon. It will resume its work at 10 a.m.
9 June 2021	7th Session of Arab Climate Outlook Forum (ArabCOF) 4th Session of Gulf Cooperation Council Climate Outlook Forum (GCC-COF)	The Arab Climate Outlook Forum (ArabCOF), cutting across multiple Regional Associations, was established following the decision of the Executive Office of the Council of Minsters responsible for Meteorology and Climate, under the League of Arab States, endorsed in April 2017. The Scoping Meeting for the Establishment of the ArabCOF held in Amman, October 2014 agreed on the following key objectives of the forum: • Generate consensus outputs on seasonal forecasts (1-2 per year) and to carry out regional climate change assessments.

11 March 2019	Launching of the baseline mapping study of the energy use situation in the buildings sector in Jordan	The national seminar will focus on the methodologies for developing the baseline mapping study of the energy use situation in the buildings sector in Jordan. It is an activity scheduled in the framework of the UN Development Account (UNDA) project on “Up–scaling Energy Efficiency in the residential and services sectors in the Arab Region”. This seminar aims at launching a baseline study for the mapping of the energy use situation in the buildings sector in Jordan and presenting the methodologies to be used by various stakeholders to the success of the project
6 September 2019	Regional Workshop on the Use of Census Data for Development Planning and Scientific Research in Arab Countries	The regional workshop aims to review the different ways of census data dissemination and usage in development planning; to highlight the importance of communication of census data between producers and users and the role of population and housing censuses in providing indicators of the 2030 sustainable development agenda; and to discuss how to use individual census data in the process of research and planning.
