The ministry of social affairs, children and families in Mauritania has prepared a concept note and draft plan on strategies and approaches on integrating gender perspective and empowering Mauritanian women. The plan  was approved by the council of ministers in March 2015.

In collaboration with Besme International Group for Humanitarian Assistance, a not- for- profit organization, the ESCWA centre for Women is conducting a capacity building workshop on "Enhancing Yemeni women’s capacity and promoting political Participation and Women, Peace and Security Agenda".
