During the ESCWA 29th Session held on 13-15 December 2016, ESCWA presented the guide that it is currently preparing to incorporate social justice principles into development plans in Arab countries.

The EGM aims to review a study on the topic currently under development by the ESCWA Centre for Women (ECW) in partnership with UN-Women and the Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW) at the Lebanese American University.

​The regional workshop will be organized under the strategic framework of UNESCWA on strengthening the capacity of Governments of the MCs on mainstreaming the energy-related SDGs into their national development plans and within the context of the work program 2016-2017.
