This Factsheet explains the concept of Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) and provides data and case studies on land degradation in the Arab Region.

Policies promoting better land management practices and ecosystem restoration will contribute to achieve Land Degradation Neutrality. Examples of such practices include agroforestry, the use of cover crops, sustainable pastoralism and integrated landscape planning, as well as avoiding monocultures and over-abstraction of limited water resources.
