| public sector | The public sector comprises the general government sector plus all public corporations including the central bank. This classification is derived from the SNA classification of sectors and sub-sectors, consisting of general government and general sub-sectors of financial and non-financial corporations. The principle of classification is the principle of government ownership and / or control rather than function (as in the initial SNA classification).
