| Register snapshot | A copy of all the statistical units in the live register as of a given point in time, including all administrative units or links from statistical units to administrative units. The snapshot is an intermediary step between the live register and the frozen frame. It is used to check for errors that have crept in during processing since the previous snapshot, also as the basis for a historical record.
