exceptional financing As an alternative to—or in conjunction with—the use of reserve assets, IMF credit and loans, and liabilities constituting foreign authorities’ reserves, to deal with payments imbalance, exceptional financing denotes any other arrangements made by the authorities of an economy to finance balance of payments needs. التمويل الاستثنائي يشير التمويل الاستثنائي إلى أي ترتيبات تبرمها سلطات الاقتصاد المعني من أجل تمويل احتياجات ميزان المدفوعات كبديل لاستخدام الأصول الاحتياطية والائتمان والقروض اللذين يقدمهما صندوق النقد الدولي والخصوم التي تشكل احتياطيات للسلطات الأجنبية، أو إلى جانب أي منها. ويرتبط تحديد معاملات التمويل الاستثنائي بمفهوم تحليلي ولا يستند إلى معايير دقيقة. ومن بين المعاملات التي تعتبر معاملات تمويل استثنائي الإعفاء من الدين ومبادلات الدين بحصص رأس المال وغيرها من أنواع المعاملات المرتبطة بإعادة تنظيم الدين. وفي ظروف معينة، قد تكون بعض عمليات الاقتراض التي يلجأ إليها القطاع الحكومي أو غيره من القطاع مستوفية للمعايير المشار إليها.

transfer and payments to other private entities Transfer and payments to other private entities are government transfers and certain other payments (mainly subsidies) to other private entities (commercial companies and non-profit organisations). superlative indices Superlative indices are price or quantity indices that are ‘exact’ for a flexible aggregator. A flexible aggregator is a second-order approximation to an arbitrary production, cost, utility or distance function. Exactness implies that a particular index number can be directly derived from a specific flexible aggregator. الأرقام القياسية المفضلة – الأرقام القاسية المغالى بها وهي أرقام قياسية للأسعار أو الكميات تكون "دقيقة" بالنسبة لمجمّع مرن. وهذا الأخير هو تقدير من المستوى الثاني للإنتاج، الكلفة، الحاجة أو البعد الاعتباطيين. تعني الدقة أنه يمكن اشتقاق الدليل مباشرة من مجمّع مرن خاص.

electric locomotive Locomotive with one or more electric motors, deriving current primarily from overhead wires or conductor rails or from accumulators carried on the locomotive. value index An index number formed from the ratio of aggregate values in the given period to the aggregate values in the base period. Strictly speaking this is not an index number as ordinarily understood but a value relative. رقم قياسي للقيمة هو رقم قياسي يتألف من معدّل قيم التجميع في الفترة المحددة على قيم التجميع في فترة الأساس. ليس هذا الرقم رقمًا قياسيًّا كما يفهم عادة، بل قيمة نسبيّة.

sample design The sample design provides information on the target and final sample sizes, strata definitions and the sample selection methodology. تصميم العينة كيفية اختيار جزء المجتمع الإحصائي ليكون مشمولا بالمسح.
identification risk This risk is defined as the probability that an intruder identifies at least one respondent in the disseminated microdata. This identification may lead to the disclosure of (sensitive) information about the respondent. The risk of identification depends on the number and nature of quasi-identifiers in the microdata and in the a priori knowledge of the intruder. مخاطر التحديد يقصد بمخاطر احتمال تحديد متسلل لهوية مستجيب واحد على الأقل من خلال البيانات الصغرية المنشورة. قد يقود هذا التحديد إلى الإفصاح عن بعض المعلومات الحساسة المتعلقة بالمستجيب. وخطر التحديد منوط بعدد المعرّفات المشابهة وطبيعتها في البيانات الصغرية وبمعرفة المتسلل المسبقة.
categorical data Data consisting of counts of observations falling in different categories. The categories may be purely descriptive, or may have a natural order. بيانات غير مقيدة طبقية (بيانات مصنفة) بيانات مبنية على أعداد من المشاهدات المصنفة في فئات مختلفة. يمكن أن تكون الفئات وصفية بحتة أو قد يكون لها ترتيب طبيعيّ.
null hypothesis In general, this term relates to a particular hypothesis under test, as distinct from the alternative hypotheses which are under consideration. It is therefore the hypothesis which determines the probability of the type I error. In some contexts, however, the term is restricted to an hypothesis under test of “no difference”. فرضية البطلان - فرضية العدم هناك فرق بين فرضية البطلان وفرضية الخيار المغاير، إذ تضع الأولى فرضية قيد الاختبار، أما الثانية فتنظر في الفرضيات المغايرة. فرضية البطلان هي تلك التي تحدد احتمال وقوع خطأ من النوع (أ). في بعض الإطارات، يقتصر معنى هذا التعبير إلى اختبار الفرضية لمعرفة إذا ما كان هناك "لا فرق".
data status upon release The status of the data refers to whether the data initially disseminated to the public are final data or preliminary and therefore subject to revision. وضع البيانات عند نشرها يدل وضع البيانات على ما إذا كانت البيانات المنشورة في البداية للعموم نهائية أو تمهيدية و بالتالي يمكن أن تخضع لمراجعة.
