Employment contracts between an employer and employee are generally open-ended contracts. There is no end date placed on the contract, which leaves the contract between the two parties open until it is changed through termination or by quitting. Another term used in open-ended employment contracts is "at-will employment." The contract or agreement remains in force by the will of the parties involved.
