Definition:
A sample collected concurrently, i.e. in the course of the same sample survey under comparable conditions, with a first sample. It acts in much the same way as a replication except that in some cases the only thing which can be replicated is the act of taking many of these samples which can be called repeated sampling.

عينة يجري جمعها خلال مسح العينة نفسه ضمن ظروف مماثلة مع عينة أولى. وتلعب دورًا شبيها بالتكرار إلا أنه في بعض الأحيان، لا يمكن تكرار إلا أخذ العينة المستقلة.
فعلى سبيل المثال، يسمح أخذ عينة إضافية ثانية في مسح الحصول على العلومات الإضافية حول الخطأ في أخذ العينة، إلا أنه لم يتم تكرير شيء بمعنى أنه ما من تكرار لعملية اختبار بغض النظر عن انتقاء عينة مزدوجة. أما أخذ العديد من هذه العينات فيمكن دعوته: المعاينة المتكررة أو أخذ العينة المتكرر.
