UNESCWA has just launched a new website showcasing the activities of its Programme Planning and Technical Cooperation Division (PPTCD), which plays a support role in planning, coordinating and monitoring UNESCWA projects and activities. This website will provide access to UNESCWA services as well.

The Technical Cooperation section of the website provides useful information on Regional Advisory Services, including application and evaluation forms, as well as a brief description of all UNESCWA ongoing projects. Potential donors can also find the “project pipeline” in this section, which presents project concept papers that are open to collaborative arrangements and financing. These concept papers touch upon major developmental issues and regional priorities.

A special “Resource Corner” within the website aims at capturing the UNESCWA development experience and facilitating knowledge dissemination through the collection of best practices and lessons learned. The “Programme Planning” section of the website presents the determinants of UNESCWA’s strategic direction, while a specialized “Coordination” section focuses on coordinating the organization’s relations with other regional, interregional and global entities, as well as with the United Nations Headquarters.
