United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim visited on 7 August 2017 President Michel Sleiman in his Yarze residence.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Executive Secretary, Khawla Mattar.

Both sides discussed the Commission’s activities in Lebanon and the region.

They also tackled economic and social issues in addition to the National Agenda for the Future of Syria program initiated by ESCWA over three years ago.
