Beirut, 26 June 2019 (ESCWA)--United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Rola Dashti, today received Saudi Ambassador in Beirut Waleed Abdullah Bukhari on top of a delegation. Discussions revolved around issues of mutual concern.
 
Following the meeting, Ambassador Bukhari highlighted that discussions focused on mutual cooperation and on supporting the mission of ESCWA across the Arab region.
 
He expressed his gratitude for the good hospitality he received and praised the strong ties between ESCWA and the Saudi Kingdom.
 
Bukhari had offered Dashti a medal that was issued on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
