The National Information Centre (NIC) entrusted to establish NIS conducted national studies and set requirements and strategies for implementation of this project. NIC embarked on planning and implementing activities pertaining to the establishment of NIS . This effort was supported by international agencies, such as, the German Technical cooperation (GTZ) , International Development Research Centre of Canada, the World Bank and UN organizations.
