This activity falls under the Development Account (DA) project on “Establishing National Technology Development and Transfer Systems in select ESCWA member states” which aims to strengthen the capacity of select countries in the ESCWA region to create an enabling policy environment for research and development, and commercialization of research results.  
The objective of this workshop is to train the NTTO staff, liai
son officers  and staff of relevant ministries on the research commercialization impact assessment methodologies in setting the ground for linking the research to the national priorities and measuring the research impact,  and to identify, and propose the measurement process and related tools of research commercialization impact assessment relevant to the NTTO and networked research institutions
