Under the Patronage of HE Prime Minister Mr. Saad Hariri, the National Council for Scientific Research and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, in coordination with the Lebanese Ministry of State for Administrative Reform, the ESCWA Technology Center is organizing a Workshop  on National Technology Transfer System for Lebanon.

This workshop is part of the UNDA project: “Establishment of National Technology Development and Transfer Systems in 5 Arab Countries; Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunis, and Oman”.  The UNDA project aims to enhance national innovation system capacity through updating related policies and the establishment of National Technology Transfer Offices (NTTO) linked to universities and research institutions facilitating the partnership between the research community and economic development sector, the industry and relevant governmental and nongovernment actors.

This workshop comes after 2 national meetings conducted in Lebanon namely: the Meeting for National Stakeholders in October 2015 and  National Workshop on Governmental STI Legislation Related Bodies held in March 2016.
