The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is organizing a virtual workshop on “Building Partnership Capabilities in Democratic Governance in the Republic of Sudan" on 25-26 February 2021.

The workshop aims at :

• enhancing knowledge on keeping pace with the transitional phase and on how to formulate a new social contract between the citizens and the state based on principles of democracy, citizenship and human rights;
• raising awareness about the concept of participation and its effectiveness in engaging the citizens in both public and private sectors;
• and contributing towards developing a roadmap for building qualified youth leaderships that will contribute to successful transition to democracy.
