The Centre for Women at United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) together with UN Women are organizing two Back-to-back Expert Group Meetings (EGMs) on “The Role of Media and Academia in Implementing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Lebanon”, on 28 and 29 November 2017 in the UN House. The EGMs aim at allowing media representatives and academics to contribute to the ongoing consultative process about the National Action Plan on the Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Lebanon, by sharing their opinions and recommendations thereof. The EGMs aim at soliciting the feedback of academics and media representatives in Lebanon on WPS priorities.
