The UN-ESCWA Statistical Committee at its eleventh session, Amman, 4-5 February 2015 agreed on the forming of an advisory group social statistics. The main goal of establishing of a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is to provide recommendations on strategies, as well as substantive and methodological guidelines for achieving goals in population and social statistics. The TAG has held three meetings to accomplish these goals. The TAG discussed and approved a core list of demographic and social statistics in the Arab countries. In addition, the TAG discussed a regional strategy reading the demographic and social statistics data.
