The ESCWA Centre for Women and UN-Women are organizing a roundtable discussion on estimating the cost of violence against women. The meeting shall discuss the draft conceptual model to estimate the cost of violence against women in the Arab region with the aim of soliciting input from economists, statisticians and sociologists towards its finalization. This model is expected to be easily adapted and used by Arab member States to populate it and calculate an empirical estimate of the cost of violence in their respective countries.
