The ESCWA Centre for Women, in partnership with the League of Arab States (LAS) and the United Nations Entity For Gender Equality and The Empowerment of Women (UN-Women), organized a training workshop focusing on the “Guidance Note for Comprehensive National-Level Reviews” jointly developed by UN-Women and the United Nations Regional Commissions.

This workshop, which was held at the United Nations House in Beirut on 15-16 January 2019, aimed to support participating member states in the timely preparation of their national-level reviews on progress made and challenges encountered in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, which are due for submission in May 2019. Discussions focused on the structure and content of the national reports and addressed obstacles, especially in terms of the methodology, national consultations, and overall analytical framework.
