In response to the recommendations of the Second High-Level Joint Committee for water and agriculture that was held on 19 October 2020, the Technical Secretariat of the Joint Arab Ministerial Council for Water and Agriculture (Technical Secretariat of the AMWC and AOAD) organized with ESCWA and FAO the Expert Meeting to review and discuss the draft executive plan to activate the Cairo Declaration 2019 for joint coordination between the agricultural and water sectors.
In total 77 participants attended the meeting including representatives of Arab countries and regional organizations and stressed on the importance of this comprehensive plan to guiding countries in managing their scarce resources.
