ESCWA Centre for Women supported the Arab Women Organisation in organising a high level conference on “Economic Empowerment of Women and the Promotion of the Values of Peace, Justice and Citizenship.” The meeting, organised in Muscat, Oman during the period 18 – 19 December, brings in academic researchers and national women machineries to discuss Arab women economic opportunities and hindering factors to women equal access into the labour market.
