The 1^st session of the Committee on Trade Policies in the States Members of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia will focus on progress made in activities related to trade policies under the ESCWA programme of work for 2018 and 2019.
Participants will also discuss thematic issues including trade in services as a driver of growth and development; monitoring and evaluating Arab economic integration; trends and patterns of Arab States’ exports; mechanisms to modernize the Pan-Arab Free Trade Area; and winners and losers from global trade wars in the Arab region.
