ESCWA Centre for Women is holding a training workshop titled: “Capacity-Building for National Institutions on Integrating Gender Equality in the Organizational Policy, Strategic Planning, Evaluation, Audit and Reporting”, on 13 and 14 February 2019 at the United Nations House in Beirut – Lebanon. This workshop is organized in the framework of a training program that seeks to build the capacities of National Women Machineries to implement the “Action Plan on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women at the level of the national institutions in the Arab region”.

This Action Plan is considered as an accountability tool for the promotion and the achievement of gender equality in national institutions.
 
The program includes two capacity-building workshops, each focusing on a set of selected indicators among the 15 performance indicators that make up the action plan. The second workshop is planned to take place in March 2019.
 
The current workshop will focus on the following indicators:

  • Organizational policy and plan;
  • Gender responsive performance management;
  • Strategic planning;
  • Reporting and data analysis;
  • Evaluation;
  • Gender responsive auditing.

 Participants include officials of relevant national institutions working towards the advancement of women’s issues and involved in organizational policy making, and/or strategic planning, and/or evaluation, and/or auditing and reporting.
