The secretariat prepared the proposed organization of work for the fourth meeting of the Technical Committee, with the aim of facilitating consideration of agenda items within the time assigned to each. The Committee may adopt the said proposed organization of work in the form in which it is submitted or make amendments thereto.

The Technical Committee will begin its meetings with an opening session at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday 26 December 2010, in the main conference hall at ESCWA headquarters, United Nations House in Beirut.  The following sessions will begin at 11:00 a.m., with one session held in the morning and one in the afternoon, in accordance with the enclosed schedule. The Committee will resume its work at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday 27 December 2010; with two sessions held in the morning and two others in the afternoon. The work of the Committee will be concluded at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday 27 December 2010.

Presentations made by the secretariat are expected to be 10-15 minutes each, and ensuing discussion for 30 minutes.  Should discussion of an agenda item be concluded ahead of schedule, then the next agenda item will be brought forward.
