Webinars on Arab e-Government and launch of the Arabic version of UN 2020 e-Government Survey
The Arab e-Government Directors Meeting discussed Arab countries’ plans and initiatives in the field of digital government and represented an opportunity to exchange experiences and offer joint initiatives and projects among Arab countries. In the meeting, ESCWA’s activities in the field of digital transformation, innovation and measurement indicators were also presented.
The meeting took place from 13:30-15:00 (Beirut time) through the KUDO platform.
The webinar was jointly organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Western Asia (UN ESCWA), the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the United Arab Emirates.
It focused on e-government development trends in Arab region, the digital responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, and an in-depth discussion of policy implications to advance the future digital transformation in the region. The webinar also explored the deployment of digital technologies in the Arab region during the pandemic and beyond and aimed at producing recommendations to bridge digital divides based on the findings of 2020 e-Government Survey.
The webinar took place from 15:00-17:00 (Beirut time) through the KUDO platform.
