Arabic Language Day 2019
18 December 2019The United Nations observes annually the Arabic Language Day on18 December, the day the General Assembly approved Arabic as an official UN Language in 1973. This event was launched by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2010. The objective is to promote equal use of all six official working languages throughout the organization and to celebrate multilingualism, as a core value, and cultural diversity.
