The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) was established in the first of April 1955 after the enactment of Civil Service Law No. (11) of 1955, and the president of CSB assumed his responsibility on the first of April 1955. It was a response to the developments of public administration in the period following the declaration of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the unification of the two banks in 1950, and the issuance of the current Constitution in 1952, and as a correspondence to the horizontal and vertical expansion in the number of government agencies and services.
