تأسس المركز البحريني للحراك الدولي في عام 1979 م ,وتم اشهاره في عام 1980م كأول مركز يعني بشئون المعاقين في مملكة البحرين ومن أهدافه دمج المعاقين من ذوي الإعاقة الحركية في المجتمع المحلي والدولي وعلى الصعيد الثقافي والرياضي والعلاقات المتبادلة بين المؤسسات المجتمعية والمساهمة في تسهيل إزالة الحواجز النفسية والطبيعية.
