ACC is the first national Chamber to be established in Egypt and in the whole Arab region. It was set up by the traders of Alexandria as a place for them to gather and discuss matters of mutual interest, and to exchange points of views with regards to the various problems they encountered. Since then the Chamber has been providing services, growing and developing and today has over 180,000 companies to serve.

عندما نتحدث عن غرفة الاسكندرية فان المجال سيطول لانها احد الصروح التجارية فى مصر نشات من منطلق وطنى ومنذ تاريخ نشأتها 1922 عندما عقد اول اجتماع لانشائها كان الغرض من إنشاء الغرفة التجارية ايجاد كيان قادر على مواجهة غرف اجنبيه عديدة للتجار الاجانب الذين يحتكرون النشاط التجارى وحتى يستطيع التجار والصناع المصريون مواجهة التطورات الاقتصادية التى كانت تشهدها البلاد فى ظل حراك وطنى يدعو الى التحرر الاقتصادى ورفع شعار الصناعة المصرية وحمايتها وهو المنهج الذى استمرت عليه الغرفة منذ نشاتها وحتى وقتنا هذا.
