Al Tawfiq Fishermen Cooperative Association was established in Palestine in Gaza City in 1973 byan initiative of 32 fishermen. Al Tawfiqkeep growing until the number of members has reached more than 440 members so far. It is managed by a high qualified board of directors composed of nine members that are elected every two years from among the members of the general assembly. The association registration number is 68, and was re-registered by the general directorate of cooperation at Ministry of Labor under the number 327.
