The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor (MoL) in Lebanon, is organizing a two day capacity-building workshop on "Generating Productive and Inclusive Employment for Lebanon".

The purpose of this workshop is to provide an updated overview of the Lebanese labor market based on the labor market supply and demand. 

Analysis in this employment workshop will focus mainly on SDG-8 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It will specifically focus on monitoring economic growth, inclusiveness and productive employment. Several targets lie beneath these aims: sustained economic growth (SDG-8.1), high levels of economic productivity (SDG-8.2), promotion of productive activities (SDG-8.3), full productive employment and decent work for all (SDG-8.5), reduced number of youth not in employment, education or training (SDG-8.6).
