يطرح موضوع التطبيق الناجح للحكومة الالكترونية على طاولة البحث في بيت الأمم المتحدة ضمن إطار ورشة عمل حول "الحكومة الإلكترونية في البلدان العربية: بناء القدرات في إدارة المعرفة من خلال الشراكة". ويمتدّ الاجتماع من 18 إلى 20 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2008 في بيت الأمم المتحدة، ساحة رياض الصلح، ويتطرّق إلى السبيل الصحيح لتطبيق موضوع الحكومة الاكترونية بنجاح في العالم العربي. |

القاهرة تستضيف الاجتماع الأول للجنة الاستشارية المتعددة الأطراف للمنتدى العربي لحوكمة الإنترنت |
الجمعة، 15 حزيران/يونيو 2012 (وحدة الإعلام والاتصال في الإسكوا)-- تحت مظلة الإسكوا وجامعة الدول العربية، تعقد الأمانة العامة للمنتدى العربي لحوكمة الإنترنت الاجتماع الأول للجنة الاستشارية المتعددة الأطراف وذلك يومي 18-19 حزيران/يونيو 2012، في أبراج فيرمونت هليوبوليس في القاهرة، مصر. وتنظّم هذا الاجتماع الأمانة العامة ممثلة بالجهاز القومي لتنظيم الاتصالات في مصر وبالتعاون مع المنظمة العربية للتنمية الإدارية وبتمويل من الجمعية الكويتية لتقنية المعلومات وشركة المعدات الشبكية الأميركية سيسكو. |

خلف: جريمة قتل الدوابشة نتيجة الاحتلال وثقافة الإفلات من العقاب |
أدانت وكيلة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والأمينة التنفيذية للجنة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لغربي آسيا (الإسكوا)، د. ريما خلف، الجريمة المروعة المتمثلة بقتل الرضيع الفلسطيني علي سعد الدوابشة حرقاً في منزله في قرية دوما الفلسطينية المحتلة على يد مستوطنين إسرائيليين، وأكدت أن هذه الجريمة تأتي في سياق مسلسل اعتداءات المستوطنين شبه اليومية على الفلسطينيين وممتلكاتهم، فكان سبق هذه الجريمة أكثر من 120 اعتداءً مباشراً منذ بداية العام الحالي فقط. |

Proposed Arab Digital Agenda: Preliminary Framework for the Arab Information and Communication Technology Strategy for Sustainable Development |
This document entitled “Proposed Arab Digital Agenda: Preliminary Framework for the Arab ICT Strategy for Sustainable Development” presents ESCWA's proposal for a set of ICT objectives and targets to promote digital development and hence support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab region. It presents an overview of existing similar regional digital agendas in the world and proposes an agenda revolving around five pillars, that meets the needs of the Arab region. If implemented, the proposed actions could accelerate the attainment of the associated relevant developmental goals. |

Country and Regional Profiles for Sustainable Development Indicators with Selected Sectors in the ESCWA Region: Technology Sector |
ESCWA prepared a set of handbooks for the following six sectors: energy, water, environment, agriculture, small and medium-sized enterprises and technology, each addressing sustainable development indicators in the ESCWA region in general and in each of the 13 ESCWA member countries in particular. Each handbook contains a presentation of sustainable development indicators in the sector concerned. |

This document presents “ESCWA's vision on the work modalities for producing, developing and implementing the Arab Information and Communication Technology Strategy (The Arab Digital Agenda)”. It proposes a new approach for joining efforts to launch a technical cooperation project by ESCWA’s Secretariat and the League of Arab States’ General Secretariat, Arab States members of the Arab working group on the Arab ICT strategy, representatives of the Arab ICT Ministers, with the participation and concerted efforts of concerned sister UN and Arab organizations. |
