الإسكوا تطلق ملصق "تحت شجرة زيتون في فلسطين" |
الأربعاء 26 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2011 (الدائرة الإعلامية في الإسكوا) — "تحت شجرة زيتون في فلسطين" هو شعار اتخذته الإسكوا عنواناً لملصق أعدّته وأطلقته اليوم ضمن إطار نشاطاتها المخصصة لزيادة الوعي حول التداعيات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية للاحتلال الإسرائيلي في فلسطين، بما في ذلك المستوطنات وسياسات الحصار والإغلاق. يتم توزيع الملصق على مراكز الأمم المتحدة الرئيسية في نيويورك وجنيف وفيينا، وعدد من وكالات الأمم المتحدة في لبنان، وقد زودت الإسكوا السلطة الفلسطينية وعدداً من الجمعيات الأهلية بنسخ منه لاستخدامها وتوزيعها. |

بدأت اليوم ورشة العمل الإقليمية التي ينظمها برنامج الامم المتحدة للبيئة (يونيب) ولجنة الأمم المتحدة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لغربي آسيا (الإسكوا)، وذلك في فندق الكومودور- بيروت. وتستمر أعمال الورشة حتى يوم الخميس 24 آذار/مارس 2016.
الهدف من الورشة هو بناء قدرات الموظفين الحكوميين في المنطقة العربية من خلال تزويدهم بالمعلومات العلمية الوافية، وتدريبهم على كيفية استخدام الادوات الفنية ذات الصلة، من اجل تحقيق الادارة المتكاملة لمصادر المياه والنظم البيئية في ظل التصدي لآثار تغير المناخ وتحقيق اجندة التنمية المستدامة 2030.
