UNESCWA Executive Secretary Mervat Tallawy will be visiting the South of Lebanon on Thursday 12 October 2006, heading a delegation of senior staff members including chiefs of divisions and several experts.

During her visit, Tallawy is expected to reveal the nature of the assistance that UNESCWA will be providing to the South in the next stage.

Tallawy will conclude her trip with a stop in the town of Qana to visit the shrine of the victims of the massacres and partake iftar with its inhabitants.

Transportation and public spaces which are safe and accessible to all, including persons with disabilities, are critical to the growth of inclusive cities in the increasingly urbanized Arab region.

Based on results of the national consultations to develop the Roadmap to Estimate the Cost of Violence against Women in Palestine which took place last August 2017, ESCWA, UN-Women and the Palestinian national statistical bureau will hold a technical meeting to validate a survey on costing of violence against women in Palestine. The survey takes into consideration the types of direct and indirect costs identified during the national consultation. The meeting participants, including government and civil society organizations, will validate the survey questions. 



This workshop aims is to develop the capacities of Tunisian and Arab Experts from Ministries of Trade to enable them understand asses and implement the most suitable Antidumping and safeguard measures to protect their economy.
