6 May 2017	AHLF Thematic/Community Workshop: Cybersecurity in the Arab Region
22 April 2015	International Conference on Financing Sustainable Development, Alexandria, Egypt	ESCWA, and in partnership with the Arab Academy for Science Technology & Maritime Transport, organized an International Conference on Financing Sustainable Development in the Arab Region in Alexandria, Egypt during the period 17-18 December 2014. The conference focused mainly on tax efficiency, workers’ remittances and innovative sources of finance. The meeting was attended by a large number of participants from different countries and agencies interested in the topics of discussion in addition to the presence of 2 ministers from Egypt and the head of the Academy.
20 May 2015	Bulletin on Population and Vital Statistics in the ESCWA Region, No. 10	The purpose of this tenth issue of the Bulletin on Population and Vital Statistics in the ESCWA Region is to present available statistics for ESCWA member countries on registered vital events, including births, deaths, marriages and divorces; present the main indicators for each of these events; and compare them with the estimates prepared by the United Nations Population Division. Data was compiled from national statistical sources and by using questionnaires prepared by ESCWA.
20 May 2015	Project Planning and Performance Management: Participant’s File	This document includes the themes addressed by the training workshop entitled "Project Planning and Performance Management". The first day developed the topic of modern methodology in project management as well as the topic of project model, key project stages and project planning. The second day included the feasibility study of projects as well as the components of project management and control.
20 May 2015	Review of Information and Communications Technology for Development in Western Asia, Issue No. 7	This issue is dedicated to partnerships in information and communications technology (ICT) projects, and focuses on partnerships between the private and public sectors which accelerate the implementation of such projects, distribute the risk between the two sectors and contribute to the creation of employment opportunities. The issue also presents an overview of developments in the implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society, and reviews ESCWA activities over a six month period.

15 February 2019	Women and Radicalization in the Arab Region	The ESCWA Centre for Women in partnership with the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University in Beirut (AUB) is organizing a discussion panel on “Women and Radicalization in the Arab Region” as part of its Gender Discussion Series. The Discussion Panel, which will take place on 15 February 2019 at AUB, will discuss the issue of women between victimhood and agency of violent extremism while referring to some countries’ experiences in radicalization and deradicalization from the region.
19 January 2017	Call for Nominations for the 2017 United Nations Public Service Awards (UNPSA)	The United Nations has begun accepting nominations for the 2017 UN Public Service Awards (UNPSA). The deadline for receiving nominations for the UNPSA is 28 February 2017. The annual UNPSA was launched in 2003 in order to promote and support excellent innovations in public service delivery worldwide. In 2016, the UNPSA was reviewed and aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the SDGs.

23 June 2017	Lebanese President and Speaker Receive Executive-Secretary	Lebanese President Michel Aoun received on Wednesday 21 June 2017 United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim in a courtesy visit shortly after he assumed office on top of the Commission. President Aoun praised the work conducted by ESCWA for the sake of the Member States. For his part, the Executive Secretary voiced his gladness that Lebanon is hosting ESCWA and stressed that it is the only UN regional and international organisation headquartered in Lebanon.
