This report adds another dimension to the understanding of the link between violent conflict, marriage patterns and fertility behaviors for young women, and the role of public policies to mitigate such practices in conflict-afflicted countries.

This bulletin reviews the impact of the global financial crisis on international migration from and to the Arab region. Starting with an overview of the crisis and the resulting challenges and opportunities for the region, it then reviews lessons learned regarding the impact of wars and previous financial crises on international migration. To this end, the bulletin sets out three cases: the 1973 oil crisis, the 1990-1991 Gulf war and the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s.

The workshop emphasizes the essential role of legal informatics in enhancing access and ‎dissemination of legal information, in particular the information within the possession of governments ‎and necessary for informing the public as to their rights and obligations, or that would assist them in ‎doing so. The objective of the workshop is to create an ICT enabling environment to facilitate the ‎administration of justice and harmonization among different judicial and legislative codes at the ‎national level, as well as at the regional and international levels.
