Under the auspices of Kuwaiti Minister of Transport Maasouma Saleh Al Mubarak, UN-ESCWA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, is holding a national workshop on International Goods Transport Facilitation in Kuwait that will take place at the General Directorate of Customs, Shuweikh, on 29 November 2006. This meeting is part of the United Nations Development Account project “Capacity-Building through Cooperation in Developing Inter-Regional Land and Land-Cum-Sea Transport Linkages”.

This meeting will be held in accordance with the ETC Statute to give guidance to the Centre on its future work plan and technical issues that relate to its work, and to identify member countries’ priorities and challenges in harnessing national capabilities in science, technology, and innovation in the implementation of the sustainable development goals.

Under the Patronage of Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan (RSS) and  President of the Board of Governors of the UN-ESCWA Technology Center (ETC), the Science Diplomacy Program at RSS, UN-ETC in partnership with International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA) and US Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global), held on 13-14 December 2016, the 1st Arab Leadership Dialogue on Science Advice to Governments, in Dead Sea, Jordan.
