The Water, Energy and Food Security Nexus in the Arab Region |
This booklet briefly presents an analytical framework for understanding the water-energy-food security nexus in the Arab region. The analytical framework considers the linkages that affect the achievement of water, energy and food security through the lens of sustainable development and the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, with a view to mitigating climate change and ensuring access to food, water and sustainable energy for all in the context of a human-rights approach. |

Launching of E-Caravan Project for South Lebanon |
UNESCWA Executive Secretary Mervat Tallawy considered the mobile computer school project a join effort between the United Nations agencies in Lebanon, foreign and Arab embassies, civil society organizations, and the banking and private sectors. Tallawy was speaking at a press conference held today to launch the E-Caravan project for South Lebanon implemented by UNESCWA in cooperation with “Fondation Saradar”. The launching took place under the auspices of Lebanese Minister of Communication Marwan Hamadeh represented by the ministry’s Director-General Naji Andraos. |
