Country and Regional Profiles for Sustainable Development Indicators with Selected Sectors in the ESCWA Region: Technology Sector |
ESCWA prepared a set of handbooks for the following six sectors: energy, water, environment, agriculture, small and medium-sized enterprises and technology, each addressing sustainable development indicators in the ESCWA region in general and in each of the 13 ESCWA member countries in particular. Each handbook contains a presentation of sustainable development indicators in the sector concerned. |

This document entitled “Proposed Arab Digital Agenda: Preliminary Framework for the Arab ICT Strategy for Sustainable Development” presents ESCWA's proposal for a set of ICT objectives and targets to promote digital development and hence support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab region. It presents an overview of existing similar regional digital agendas in the world and proposes an agenda revolving around five pillars, that meets the needs of the Arab region. If implemented, the proposed actions could accelerate the attainment of the associated relevant developmental goals. |
