Development of an Arabic Domain Names System |
This document provides specific guidelines for Arabic Domian Names System (ADNS). However, these guidelines can be used to facilitate systems in other languages that use the Arabic script, particularly Farsi and Urdu. Within that context, ADN-TF is prepared to cooperate with experts from the Farsi and Urdu communities in order to address linguistic, organizational and policy issues in an interoperable manner. |

This report provides a brief general description of ESCWA Statistical Information System ( ESIS), including technical detail of the structure, principal features and utilization modalities, in addition to technical material aimed at facilitating effective use of this System. Within that context, ESIS was developed essentially for use both within ESCWA and by institutions and individuals concerned with economic and social development in the ESCWA region. It is for this latter purpose that a version of ESIS will be posted on the Web. |

National Youth Policy: Priorities and Paradigms |
This public information paper paper states that adopting a national youth policy is first and foremost an indication of the society’s commitment towards its citizens. It is also a statement of a common national vision concerning the young generation. Such a policy provides a basis for a fair distribution of necessary resources to fulfill needs and priorities of youth. Through their active participation in the formulation and implementation of a national youth policy, young people get involved in decision-making at a national level. |
