Yemen National Dialogue: The Work Begins |
A leading group of Yemeni prominent personalities will meet at the United Nations House in Beirut tomorrow, Wednesday, at 9:00 am to discuss with experts the outcomes of the Yemen National Dialogue, which was launched in 2011, and the means of their implementation. The meeting will close on Thursday 12 June 2014. |

Regional Workshop on Statistical Business registers for The Arab Countries |
Aware of the need to modernize and improve statistical production efficiency and quality, and following-up on the recommendation of its Statistical Committee in its eleventh session, ESCWA organized a regional workshop on "Statistical Business Registers for Arab Countries" in collaboration with the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics, the UN Statistics Division, and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on 26-29 September 2016, in Amman, Jordan. |

UN-ESCWA to Hold Fifth Session of Technical Committee on Liberalization of Foreign Trade and Economic Globalization |
The Fifth Session of the UN-ESCWA Technical Committee on Liberalization of Foreign Trade and Economic Globalization will convene at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Beirut from 24 to 26 April 2007. The meetings will be attended by representatives of the ministries of trade and finance in member countries, in addition to representatives of relevant international and regional organizations as observers. |

Lebanese Agriculture Minister Opens ESCWA Workshop on Sustainable Agricultural Production |
ESCWA today held a workshop on “Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) to promote sustainable agricultural production, food quality and safety, environmental protection and trade in the Arab Region,” at the UN House in Beirut. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and under the patronage of the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture Hussein Al Hajj Hassan. |
