5 July 2017	Executive Secretary visits former Prime Minister	ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim paid a visit on 5 July 2017 to Lebanese former Prime Minister Tammam Salam. Alhakim was accompanied by his Deputy for Programme Support Khawla Mattar. Discussions revolved around the general situation and developments in Lebanon and the region. The officials also discussed the role of ESCWA in supporting economic and social development policies in Member States.

15 February 2019	ESCWA Chief visits Lebanese House Speaker	Beirut, 13 February 2019 (ESCWA)--United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Rola Dashti today paid a protocol visit to Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri. The two officials discussed the economic and social situation in Lebanon and the region.
20 March 2017	ESCWA Hosts World Water Day Celebration	ESCWA, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in Jordan, the Embassy of Sweden in Jordan, the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWAUA), and the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), hold a celebration for World Water Day on 22 March 2017, in Hotel Kempinski, Amman.
16 August 2017	Executive Secretary visits Walid Jumblatt	United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim visited on 15 August 2017 MP Walid Jumblatt at his Clemenceau residence. During his visit, the Executive Secretary was accompanied by ESCWA Deputy Executive Secretary for Program Support Khawla Mattar. The two sides discussed current affairs in the Arab region.

Both sides discussed the current activities undertaken by ESCWA. The two sides also discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region.

11 December 2014	UAE Ambassador Pays Farewell Visit to UN-ESCWA	UN-ESCWA Executive-Secretary, Bader Omar AlDafa, on Monday 20 October received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Lebanon, Muhammad Soueidi, who paid a farewell visit to UN-ESCWA. Both parties discussed UN-ESCWA activities, and cooperation between the Commission and UAE.
11 December 2014	Saudi Ambassador Visits ESCWA	ESCWA Executive Secretary Bader AlDafa today received Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awwad Osseiri, who is visiting the Regional Commission's quarters. Both parties discussed ESCWA activities and common projects between the Commission and Saudi Arabia. AlDafa had paid an official visit to KSA on 23-26 March 2009 to meet with officials and discuss means of common cooperation.
